Rosacea

My client has rosacea, can I treat her?

Rosacea is a progressive vascular disorder affecting the blood vessels of the skin and whilst it has similar characteristics to acne (a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit) it is not related to acne whatsoever and so must be treated with a completely different method.

Rosacea is highly individual to each person with many triggers and tripwires causing the skin to ‘flare up’. It’s important that clients are encouraged to identify what causes their skin to flare up so that lifestyle adjustments can be made as part of the management of this condition.

When using skincare products from the Eve Taylor range we recommend that a simple regime is maintained and would include: Ultra Soothing Cleanser, Ultra Soothing Toner and Ultra Soothing Moisture Cream.

Micro-fine Exfoliant may be used 1-2 times per week for gentle exfoliating benefits and the addition of Calming Aromatic Serum on a daily basis, if the clients skin is able to tolerate essential oils.

Within the professional facial treatment we would highly recommend the use of our professional-use Colloidal Oatmeal Masque for its unparalleled effects and benefits.

Please take our Rosacea Masterclass to learn more about this condition.
