Pregnancy

Can Eve Taylor products be used during pregnancy?

The uncertainty of using aromatherapy based products during pregnancy arises from the use of essential oils; our products with a higher concentration of essential oils are found within our massage blends both pre-blended massage oils and aromatic face, and body serums.

To follow the ‘industry rule’ avoid massage within the first trimester.

After the first trimester the least stimulating blends for massage are Soothing Massage OilSoothing Aromatic Serum, Anti-stress Body Massage Oil and Relaxing Body Serum. We also have essential oil free products like Massage Cream or Aqua-Mass.

The least stimulating products and products with low amounts of essential oils, which are generally suitable during pregnancy are marked in the Skincare Navigator and Spa Body Navigator for your refrence.

If you or your client wish to take a precautionary approach and completely avoid any formulations with essential oils, then look to use the following products:

Micellar Cleanse – Eye & Lip
Facial Cleansing Brush
Ultra Soothing Cleanser
Massage Cream
Aqua-Mass Massage Oil
Hydrating Serum
Oxygen Response Serum
Soothing Masque
Bio Masque
Colloidal Oatmeal Masque
Ultra Soothing Toner
Ultra Soothing Moisture Cream
Refining Eye Gel
Moisturising Solar Shield (SPF 25)

Please note, we recommend that your client consults their GP or midwife before using any skincare product from any brand before use, during their pregnancy.

The same policy as above applies for pregnant therapists.
