Nut allergies
My client has a nut allergy, what should I do?
Whilst we use a variety of plant oils with many extracted from nuts in our formulations, we only use purified nut oils which have been winterised, deodorised and refined, a process to devoid them of protein particles which are the element responsible for causing allergies.
Our certification confirms that any of the nut oils used in our products are free from allergens as listed in Annex III of Directive 2003/15/EC amending Directive Cosmetics 76/768/EC.
The products using nut based oils contain no detectable amounts of proteins and consequently, for the overwhelming majority of people who are allergic to nuts Eve Taylor products are suitable for those with nut intolerances or allergies.
