Colloidal Oatmeal Masque Mixing & Application

Colloidal Oatmeal Masque is one of the most effective professional use products in the Eve Taylor London range and has been a personal favourite of Eve’s for decades.

We see outstanding results with this masque due to it being made from stone ground oatmeal; this calms and soothes irritated and reddened skin whilst strengthening the skin barrier function.

Colloidal Oatmeal Masque may be used on all skin types and conditions but is ideally suited for:
Reddened, rosacea type skin.
Eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or impaired barrier function.
Sensitive or hypersensitive skin.
Aggravated, irritated skin.
Severely dehydrated skin.
Skin with inflamed breakouts or acne.

Benefits of using this masque:
Anti-inflammatory benefits calm and soothe the skins surface.
It intensively reduces redness and irritation.
Beta-glucan components work to strengthen and repair epidermal barrier function.
It hydrates the skin and infuses moisture and lipids.

How to use:
Moisten a single layer of gauze with water or Chamomile/Rose Hydrolat and place over face and neck. Dampened cotton disks may be placed over the closed eyes if required

Place 2 level scoops of Colloidal Oatmeal Masque into Eve Taylor London Flexible Bowl. Add approximately 50-60ml of warm-hot water and stir into a thick porridge like texture.

Continue to add 6 pumps of Colloidal Activator and mix together into a creamy pliable paste.
Using a spatula, apply thickly to face, neck, over the dampened gauze.

Colloidal Oatmeal Masque may be applied over eyelids and lips which is especially beneficial for those with eczema on the eye lids or those with very dry chapped lips.

Direct a steamer to face and leave for 15 minutes. Alternatively if a steamer is not available, place an additional piece of dry gauze over the top of the oatmeal and wrap warm steam towels around face to keep masque moist., swapping over as they cool down.
Moisture and heat must be used to ensure full swelling activation of oatmeal kernels.

After 15 minutes, remove by rolling gauze upwards (collecting oatmeal inside) and remove residue with tepid water or cooled steam towels.

Top tips:
